FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH

      The eternal quest for the Fountain of Youth. What is it? Where is it? These are questions we ask as the aging process begins occurring in our bodies. Chronologically we age with each new birthday and the calendar tells us how many years have gone by since we were born.  How old are we really? Let's find out the answer to our first question. Where and what is the Fountain of Youth?

       The Fountain of Youth, according to early American history, was discovered by Juan Ponce de Leon. It was thought that the legendary Fountain of Youth was in Bimini, an island in the Bahama chain. One drink from this fountain and one would remain young forever. Wouldn't we all love to find such a simple solution. The Fountain of Youth may be a mythical element of folklore but there are things we can do to find our own Fountain of Youth.

      We have the Fountain of Youth within our grasp. We can reverse the aging process through rejuvenation. One method is to replace some of the hormones that diminish in our body with age.  By replacing these hormones we believe that the body will respond to them as it did when it was younger, therefore repairing and restoring many body functions. Another option involves cosmetic changes. The real improvement in a person's appearance may elevate our mood and have positive side effects such as happiness in knowing and feeling we look more youthful. Mentally, this leads us to believe we have found the Fountain of Youth.

      Your Fountain of Youth is more than magical place. In my quest, I have found that I can slow down or reverse the aging process through mental and physical activity combined with a healthy diet of organic foods. Socially, I like to be surrounded by positive-thinking, interesting people who like to do the types of things I enjoy such as reading, traveling, dancing and participating in performing or listening to various music venues. One lifetime will never be enough time to do all the things I want to do. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. My journey through life will be a constant quest for the Fountain of Youth.
